The team ranked 16th in Asia, also up one notch, and maintained its 1st place in Southeast Asia.

The top 5 in Asia still consisted of Japan (world’s 20th), Iran (world’s 24th), South Korea (world’s 27th), Australia (world’s 29th), and Saudi Arabia (world’s 54th). Argentina moved up to No1 in FIFA’s world ranking.

The Asian Football Confederation will arrange the “seeds” before the draw for Asian Cup 2023 based on FIFA’s March ranking.

Ranked 16th in Asia, Vietnam will be in Pot 3, together with Bahrain, Syria, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, and Lebanon.
Pot 1 consists of host Qatar, Japan, Iran, the Republic of Korea, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. Pot 2 members are Iraq, the UAE, Oman, Uzbekistan, China, and Jordan.
