Vietnam aims to enter top 3 at SEA Games 32 ​

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has set a target of ranking in the top 3 at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games to be held in Cambodia next month, the Vietnam Sports Administration announced at a press conference in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Athletes from 11 Southeast Asian countries will compete at more than 600 events in 48 sports from May 5 to May 17.

The opening and closing ceremonies will be held in the capital of Phnom Penh.

A send-off ceremony for the Vietnamese delegation, the largest ever at the SEA Games, will take place on April 19. 

“The Vietnamese delegation consists of more than 1,000 members including 702 athletes. They will compete in 31 sports, aiming to win between 89 and 120 gold medals to rank among the top 3 nations,” said Head of the Vietnam Sports Administration Dang Viet Ha.
