VnExpress quoted Vietnam Airlines as saying it has completed all necessary documents for approval by the US Transportation Security Administration and will soon get a permit from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The airline did not specify a date. The carrier had earlier received permits to conduct 12 charter flights last year and another 12 this year.

Another Vietnamese carrier, Bamboo Airways, has also been permitted to fly 12 charter flights to the US from this month to November. Bamboo said it aims to finalize procedures for non-stop commercial flights to the US early next year.
