Vietnam Airlines stock debuts on HCM city bourse
(VOVWORLD) - More than 1.4 billion shares of Vietnam Airlines Corporation, listed with code HVN, were traded for the first time on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

With the reference price on the first trading day set at 1.75 USD per share, the capitalization value was estimated at more than 2.4 billion USD, making Vietnam Airlines the largest capitalized company listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange from the beginning of this year.
Chairman of Vietnam Airlines' Board of Directors Pham Ngoc Minh said the listing is an important step to help the national flag carrier improve its reputation, increase transparency, standardize operations, and access new investment sources. In the first quarter of this year, Vietnam Airlines recorded a revenue of more than 1.1 billion USD.
