Vietnam applauds resumption of talks between Syrian government and opposition
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam applauds the resumption of talks between the government and opposition groups in Syria on drafting a new constitution, said Ambassador Pham Hai Anh, Deputy Head of the Vietnam Mission to the United Nations at a UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday to discuss the political process in Syria.

At the meeting, Ambassador Anh said it’s time to push for a comprehensive political solution that will enable peace, stability, and development in Syria. This will require building trust between parties, Anh said, and suggested that countries that want to help Syria should reach a consensus.
The Ambassador urged greater security to pave the way for dialogues and negotiations and adherence to international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
