(VOVWORLD) -Australian and Vietnamese experts discussed methods to create important value chains for the two economies at a workshop in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai on Wednesday.

The workshop introduced studies on high-tech agriculture, safe vegetable production, and potential investment projects in Gia Lai as well as opportunities for Australian and Gia Lai investors to get involved in the global value chain within the framework of the Comprehensive, Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Vo Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of Gia Lai provincial People’s Committee, said: “The province’s development orientation towards 2020 is to focus on high-tech agriculture and processing, clean and renewable energy, and tourism. Besides national policies, the province will offer specific mechanisms to support investors to carry out long-term business. The workshop is expected to create fresh impetus for Gia Lai to prosper.”
At the workshop, the Vietnam – Australia Business Council signed memoranda of understanding with local administration and businesses.
