(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam ranked third in instant noodles consumption after China and Indonesia, with more than 7 billion servings last year, according to the World Instant Noodles Association (WINA).

The latest figure showed that each Vietnamese consumed more than 55 servings in 2020.
India and Japan made up the top five instant noodles consumers in the world.
The surge in instant noodles consumption in Vietnam was due to COVID-19 outbreaks, which forced people to stay at home under social distancing orders.
According to a market research report of Facts and Factors, revenue from instant noodles is expected to increase to more than 73 billion USD in 2026 from more than 45 billion USD in 2020.
