Vietnam, Belarus promote cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam values and wishes to develop the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Belarus, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.

Minister Son received visiting Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Nikolai Borisevich in Hanoi on Wednesday.

He highly appreciated Belarus's donation of medical equipment and supplies to Vietnam for fighting COVID-19 in December 2021.

Minister Son requested that the two foreign ministries work to resume delegation exchange as soon as possible and continue to cooperate closely in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks in order to make the two countries' relations more  effective.

Referring to cooperation at international forums, the Vietnamese Minister thanked Belarus for the support in the past time and expressed his belief that the two countries will continue to cooperate closely, contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the region and in the wider world.

Deputy Minister Borisevich said Belarus wishes to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in defense, security, economy, trade, investment, education, training, culture, and local cooperation.
