This is Vietnam’s initiative for creating a momentum for trade and investment cooperation, Deputy Foreign Minister, Nguyen Phuong Nga told the media on Friday: "The forum will be a good opportunity for Vietnam to introduce its economic development policies and business potential to Middle East and North African countries. Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and policy-makers will also learn more about trade opportunities and policies in these regions. They will exchange information and work out specific measures to improve efficiency in cooperation. Vietnam considers this event to be a good opportunity to market its culture, land, and people to Middle Eastern and North African countries and enhance friendship and mutual understanding."

Beside a plenary session, the forum will include seminars on energy, trade, infrastructure development, and cooperative agriculture, tourism, and employment. President Truong Tan Sang is scheduled to meet with the heads of the delegations to the forum and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will deliver an opening speech.
