At a reception for Saudi Arabian Ambassador F.M Al Suwelim in Hanoi, the Prime Minister said the two countries should work closely and support each other at multilateral forums. As Vietnam will be the ASEAN Chair and Saudi Arabia will be the G20 Chair in 2020, the Prime Minister said he hoped the two countries will boost bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

At a meeting the same day with Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, Prime Minister Phuc said Vietnam is ready to share and cooperate with Cuba across various fields. He said Vietnam will work closely with Cuba to ensure the supply of rice  and boost Vietnam’s investment in Cuba. He praised the Minister’s proposal on boosting telecommunications with Vietnam, suggesting that Vietnamese telecom giant Viettel has significant experience in this regard. The Prime Minister added Vietnam is ready to help Cuba develop its telecommunications infrastructure and help ensure its cyber security. He praised Cuba for exporting health care services to Vietnam.
