He said the visit took place as Vietnam’s relations with the two countries have developed positively. Vietnam’s multifaceted cooperation with Brunei and its strategic partnership with Singapore developed in all areas despite recent complicated developments in the East Sea. Therefore, the visits aimed to  promote cooperation with Brunei and Singapore in politics, economics, trade, investment, security, defense, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. Vietnam will continue to promote relations with both countries through exchanges of high level visits and the realization of signed agreements in all fields while implementing trade and investment promotion programs. Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam said Vietnam, Brunei and Singapore shared common views on many international issues, especially in the ASEAN and the East Sea issue. This will facilitate close cooperation within ASEAN to develop the ASEAN Community.
