Mr. Son said the Vietnamese Government is doing its best to contain the epidemic, and will continue to work hard to maintain investment, production, and trade activities.

Both lauded the development of bilateral relations in all aspects, especially since Vietnam and Canada established a comprehensive partnership in 2017 and began to implement the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

Ms. Morgan said Canada will continue to enhance ties with Vietnam and support Vietnam in its roles as ASEAN Chair and non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. She said the Canadian government hopes the two countries will continue their close coordination on issues of common concern at regional and international forums.
