The two sides hope to establish a comprehensive cooperation framework through the JEC mechanism to facilitate investment activities and trade exchanges. The JEC will support the operation of businesses in both countries and boost cooperation in fields of mutual interest. The MoU sets out specific goals and methods of implementing cooperative activities.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai called on both countries to seek ways to promote economic, trade, and bilateral investment by taking advantage of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and support their business communities, especially small and medium-sized businesses, by providing more market information and boosting trade and investment promotion activities.
