Vietnam celebrates 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties with Czech, Slovakia

(VOVworld) – A celebration to mark the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Czech Republic and Slovakia was held in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday. President of the Ho Chi Minh city branch of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Le Hung Quoc said the friendly relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic and Slovakia have been strengthened and broadened to many fields. Several cooperative documents have been signed which are a firm basis for long-term relations.

The Czech Republic is Vietnam’s second biggest trade partner in central and east Europe and a regular ODA provider to Vietnam.

Ambassador Martin Klepetko said the Czech Republic will deepen its economic, political, and cultural cooperation with Vietnam.

Ambassador Igor Pacolak said Slovakia will promote several economic and cultural programs in Vietnam to bring bilateral relations to a new level towards a comprehensive strategic partnership.
