Vietnam, China 4th crime prevention and control conference held

(VOVworld)-The ministries of public security of Vietnam and China agreed to boost their cooperation in law enforcement at their 4th conference on crime prevention and control in Beijing yesterday/ on Monday. Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang and Chinese Minister Guo Shengkun agreed that their collaboration has been continuously strengthened, proven by the expansion of joint activities and cooperative mechanisms.

The two ministries agreed to focus their cooperation on fighting organized and trans-national crime including terrorism, smuggling, counterfeiting, money laundering, the trafficking of weapons, explosives and radioactive materials, and high-tech fraud. The two sides will also work together in personnel training and technical equipment supply. The next conference will be held in Vietnam in 2016.

Prior to the conference, the Vietnamese delegation met with officers of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security.
