Vietnam - China strategic partnership contributes to bilateral growth

(VOVworld) - A Chinese Party Politburo member has reiterated that the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and China are of great importance to their growth and to regional and world peace, stability, and cooperation. Li Changchun made the remarks on Thursday during talks with To Huy Rua, Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee, who is on an official visit to China.

Li said China places great emphasis on the comprehensive strategic partnership and hopes to work with Vietnam to abide by their leaders’ agreements, increase mutual understanding, and boost cooperation in a way that practically benefits their people.

To Huy Rua, who also heads the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Organization, said Vietnam together with China will follow the common awareness agreed during General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s recent visit to China. He said Vietnam attaches great importance to developing ties with China, resolving current differences between the two countries, and promoting regional and international growth.

On Wednesday, Rua held talks with Li Yuanchao, Politburo member and Head of the Communist Party of China's Organisation Department. The two exchanged experiences in Party personnel work, cadre training, and planning. They agreed to step up exchanges and cooperation between the two organization commissions, and share experiences in human resource training to further strengthen the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

During the trip, Rua and his entourage also met with Wang Jiarui, Head of the CPC Central Committee's International Department, and visited CPC Central Party School and Chongqing province.
