Ho Chi Minh City still had the highest number of new infections (927 cases), followed by Binh Duong (682) and Dong Nai (657). Hanoi detected 57 new cases.
822,065 patients have recovered while 22,135 people have died.
Vietnam has so far administered nearly 81.9 million doses of vaccines.
