Minh reiterated Vietnam's consistent policy of respecting its relations of friendship and long term, stable, and practical cooperation with the US, considering the US one of Vietnam’s leading important partners on the basis of respecting each other's political institutions. He said Vietnam prioritized cooperation with the US in energy, education, environment, climate change adaptation, and water source protection. Kerry pledged to promote cooperation and sharing of experience with Vietnam in clean and renewable energy.
