In their work, the organizations focus on expanding the dialogue on the role of and supporting female members of the Youth Union and girls in remote areas. We have presented awards dedicated to female students who have excelled in science and technology.”

According to Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women’s Union, Vietnam has achieved much progress in ensuring gender equality in recent years. She said: “Vietnam has implemented several legal measures on promoting gender equality. The rate of female NA deputies is nearly 27% and the rate of businesswomen has also increased. The number of female politicians, scientists, professors and associate professors has increased 2.6 fold in 10 years.
