Vietnam Fatherland Front engaged in fighting COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front has asked its affiliates to work with residential area managers to encourage the public to stay calm and take anti-COVID-19 measures.

Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long told the Front’s online conference on Wednesday: “Staying calm is crucial in the fight against COVID-19. The incubation period for the novel coronavirus can be up to 14 days, with most people showing evidence of infection within five days or so. Day 2 to day 7 of an infection is the time when the virus multiplies rapidly and is easily transmitted to others.”

The Fatherland Front’s online conference connected 1,700 participants from 63 cities and provinces, who discussed solutions and pledged greater joint efforts with the government and local authorities to fight the COVID-19 epidemic.
