(VOVworld) - A spokesperson for Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry has commented on the US 2011 annual report on human rights in Vietnam. Answering reporters’ questions about the report, spokesperson Luong Thanh Nghi said although report acknowledged Vietnam’s major achievements in ensuring human rights, the report continues to give biased comments based on incorrect information about human rights practices in Vietnam. Nghi said the Vietnam-US ties have progressed comprehensively and that both countries have held regular discussions on issues of mutual concerns, including human rights. He added frank and constructive dialogues for mutual benefits have contributed to boosting bilateral relationship for the benefits of the two peoples.
