(VOVworld) – Six Filipino fishermen, who were in distress and saved by Vietnamese soldiers on the Song Tu Tay Island of Truong Sa district, Khanh Hoa province, were handed over to the Philippine Navy on Wednesday.

Last Friday the six survivors went fishing in the sea where their vessel split after hitting the island breakwater and began drifting to Song Tu Tay island.

The soldiers on Song Tu Tay Island provided them with health checks, medicine, and food.
