Vietnam, India to boost cooperation in agriculture, tourism

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau said that Vietnam and Gujarat State of India should promote cooperation in agriculture, textile, pharmaceuticals, and tourism.

Mr. Chau made the statement when he met with Dr. Jaimin R. Vasa, Chairman of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS), kicked off in Ahmedabad city, Gujarat state, India on Friday. The ambassador hoped that the two countries can strengthen exchanges of trade delegations, business-to-business contacts, regular organization of trade fairs and events.

The VGGS is a biennial event conceptualized in 2003. Today, the Summit has evolved into a platform for brainstorming on agendas of global socio-economic development, in addition to being a facilitator for knowledge sharing and forging effective partnerships. This year, it witnessed participation from more than 70,000 delegates, including 5 Heads of States.
