According to Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, in order to develop agriculture sustainably during Vietnam’s international economic integration, Vietnam must strengthen its cooperation with developed countries like Japan. Mr. Phat said: “Vietnam wants to strengthen economic ties and friendship with Japan. The signing of the MoU today reflects this wish. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will work closely with Japan’s Wakayama prefecture and enterprises to quickly put our commitments into practice.”

Under the MoU, the two sides will focus their cooperation on developing advanced techniques in agricultural production, processing and distribution, and will work together to improve the workforce and promote agricultural trade.
