Vietnam, Japan foster cultural, friendship exchange

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has hailed diverse and effective exchanges between lawmakers of Vietnam and Japan at a reception in Hanoi for Tsutomu Takebe, special advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance.

Vietnam’s National Assembly has revised the law on physical training and sports, said Ms. Ngan on Monday, adding that Vietnam calls for enhanced cooperation with Japan in this field to provide better physical education for Vietnamese students.

She also acknowledged Mr. Takebe’s contributions to the two countries’ friendship and cooperation, especially in terms of cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Mr. Takebe, who is also chief organizer of the Japan-Vietnam Cultural Festival, pledged to continue his work to develop the two countries’ relations.
