Vietnam jumps 5 places in world rankings of network speed
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has risen 5 places on the worldwide ranking for broadband network speed, according to the latest report from Ookla whose Speedtest measures Internet speed.

Although the Internet in Vietnam reached a speed of 47.66 Mbps in April, lower than the world average of 74.74 Mbps, Vietnam ranked 59th, up 5 steps from the previous month.
Vietnam ranked 49th for mobile Internet with a speed of 34.8 Mbps, faster than the world average of 30.89 Mbps.
In April, domestic internet service providers increased the bandwidth of Internet packages to meet a sudden rise in demand due to COVID-19 social distancing measures.
