The defeat leaves Vietnam rooted to the bottom of Group B.

Vietnam will play Saudi Arabia in Hanoi next Tuesday. They lost 1-3 in the away game in September.

This is the first time that Vietnam have played in the final qualifying round. They are in the same group with Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, China and Oman.
