Vietnam maintains Global Innovation Index ranking
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam ranked 42nd of 131 economies for the second consecutive year in the 2020 Global Innovation Index (GII) rankings.

This year’s rankings were announced Wednesday by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Vietnam also made the list of 50 economies that have seen the most progress in the GII rankings in recent years.
Ahead of the release of the 2020 GII rankings, Francis Gurry, Director General of the WIPO, underscored the importance of innovation in a nation’s efforts to recover from the negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
