(VOVworld) – A meeting was held on Sunday in Ninh Binh city to mark World Drug Day and the National Day against Drug. The event was organized by the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam Farmers’ Association and Ninh Binh People’s Committee. Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister of Public Security Dang Van Hieu urged agencies and localities to intensify information and communication campaigns on drug prevention and control, including the severe consequences of drugs. He said more efforts should be made to fight drug related crimes and trafficking from abroad. Deputy Minister Hieu called on the international community and the UN to provide financial and technical support to the fight against drug in Vietnam.
