Vietnam, Mexico boost cooperation in culture, tourism

(VOVworld) - A Vietnamese delegation led by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh has concluded a three-day working visit to Mexico where they sought to foster bilateral cooperation in culture and tourism.

During the visit, Minister Anh met the Mexican Undersecretary of Tourism Operations Carlos Joaquin Gonzalez. Minister Anh proposed both sides to compile a cooperation agreement for the 2015-2020 period. He asked Mexico to provide Vietnamese students with scholarships to study Spanish, and promote bilateral information and experience exchange in the hospitality industry. He invited leaders of the Mexican Secretary of Tourism to visit Vietnam soon.

At a reception for Minister Anh, Mexico’s Secretary of Foreign Affairs José Antonio Meade Kurubrena voiced his wishes to tighten the bilateral traditional friendship and cooperation in the future. He said he will visit Vietnam soon.
