Vietnam, Mexico enhance legislative relations

(VOVworld) – A delegation of the National Assembly’s Committee on Foreign Affairs led by its Head, Tran Van Hang, paid a working visit to Mexico to enhance the relationship between the two countries’ legislatures.

During meetings with Senate Vice-president Jose Rosas Aispuro and several of his senate colleagues, both sides agreed to step up efforts to finalize Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations toward the signing next June. They pledged to organize activities to strengthen ties between their localities.

Before visiting Mexico, the Vietnamese delegation stopped in Colombia and met with President of the Congress Jose David Name and President of the Chamber of Representatives Fabio Raul Amin Saleme. The Colombian leaders praised Vietnam’s achievements in the renewal process guided by the Communist Party of Vietnam and expressed their wish to strengthen multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnam.
