The seminar hosted by the  Ministry of Planning and Investment discussed ways to accelerate Vietnam’s digital transformation in a faster, smarter, and greener way.

Digital transformation will create breakthroughs toward turning Vietnam into a developed country, and Vietnam is working hard to ensure that the digital economy will make up 20% of its GDP by 2025.

“As Vietnam integrates extensively into the global economy, enterprises must strictly adhere to commitments to green growth and sustainable development," said Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong, adding that his ministry has constantly incorporated Industry 4.0 and digital transformation in measures to renew the growth model.

"Digital transformation is the passport for Vietnamese businesses to enter the global market,” said Phuong.

The 2022 Southeast Asia Digital Economy Report by Google, Temasek and Bain & Company said that Vietnam will achieve the highest growth in digital economy in the region between 2022 and 2025. The report forecast  Vietnam’s digital economy to reach some 49 billion USD by 2025 and a record 120-200 billion USD by 2030.
