(VOVworld) – Vietnam appreciated the financial support and policy consultations of the World Bank for its socio-economic development. Receiving WB Country Director Victoria Kwakwa in Hanoi on Tuesday, National Assembly Vice-chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that Vietnamese government agencies were completing programs to receive the Bank’s funding. She said she hoped that the Bank would continue to share its experience in supporting other countries to help Vietnam develop a long-term development strategy. She pledged Vietnam’s effective use of ODA resources and asked the World Bank to continue to support Vietnamese National Assembly agencies in legislation and supervision. She also called for policy support to help Vietnam stabilize its macro-economy and boost socio-economic development.
