Vietnam pledges to support Laos' national development
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has affirmed that Vietnam will stand side by side with Laos in its national development.

At a reception for Lao Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith in Hanoi on Thursday, PM Phuc said 2020 will be an important year for both countries. He asked ministries and agencies to cooperate in organizing celebrations of both countries to inform young people about Vietnam-Lao traditional relations.
He urged the Lao government to facilitate Vietnamese businesses and people in Laos and ensure their legitimate rights and interests. He said Vietnam and Laos always support each other in regional security and strategic issues, contributing to promote ASEAN’s unity and central role.
Minister Saleumxay Kommasith said Lao ministries will boost cooperation with their Vietnamese counterparts to strengthen Vietnam-Laos solidarity and cooperation.
