Vietnam praises UNDP assistance

(VOVworld) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan has praised UNDP assistance to Vietnam’s socio-economic development over the past years. Nhan expressed his hope on Thursday to Pratibha Mehta, UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam, that the UNDP will share its experience in encouraging people’s involvement in socio-economic management.

Mehta said she wants the UNDP and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to work together to enhance the quality of public administration management at the provincial level in Vietnam and get more people involved in socio-economic development. The cooperation is expected to help Vietnam close the gap between rich and poor and develop sustainably.
