Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang told the press in a Foreign Ministry’s regular press briefing online on Thursday given international flight bans in various countries: “The Foreign Ministry has instructed overseas diplomatic offices to cooperate with relevant local agencies and airliners to inform about immigration policy. Vietnamese citizens can return without Vietnamese representative offices’ verification papers in host countries. From March 21 to 25, the representative offices have assisted some 800 Vietnamese and there are some 40 Vietnamese still stranded in overseas airports. The representative offices have cooperated with relevant bodies to ensure healthcare, shelters, and basic necessities while continuing seeking for appropriate flights.”
