Vietnam proposes China sign protocol on opening market for agricultural products

(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son on Monday proposed that Vietnam and China soon sign the protocol on opening market for Vietnamese agricultural products and expand the smart border gate model.

At a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei on Monday in Hanoi, Deputy Prime Minister Son also suggested that the two sides give high priority to railway cooperation, ensure the commencement of construction of the Lao Cai- Hanoi-Hai Phong route in 2025, strengthen local cooperation and effectively implement people-to-people exchange activities.

He called on  both sides to strictly implement the high-level common perception on better control and resolution of disagreements, and properly handle maritime issues in accordance with international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

Ambassador He said that 2025 marks a very good development step in China-Vietnam relations, especially after mutual visits between key leaders of the two Parties and two countries.

He pledged to coordinate and organize exchange activities at high and all levels, contributing to building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
