Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Hai Binh

He said the freedom of religions and beliefs was clarified in the Constitution and Vietnam’s legal system. This has been practiced in reality. The Vietnamese laws prohibit discrimination of citizens on the basis of religious grounds. Vietnam’s existing measures and policies lenient to citizens’ full benefiting of religious and beliefs freedom have resulted in very diverse and dynamic religious and beliefs lives in Vietnam. The Foreign Ministry acknowledged several adjustments in the report in comparison to previous versions. Unfortunately, the report continued to cite biased assessment and quotation of distorted information about Vietnam.
