Vietnam ranks fourth overall at World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship 2024
(VOVWORLD) - On Wednesday, the final day of the biennial World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, the Vietnamese taekwondo team won a silver medal in the U30 standard mixed doubles event and a bronze medal in the U17 freestyle mixed team event.

In five days of competition, the Vietnamese team has won three gold medals, two silver medals, and five bronze medals to rank fourth overall, following Chinese Taiwan, South Korea, and the US. This is an outstanding achievement for Vietnamese taekwondo, which was established just eight years ago.
Vietnam won its three gold medals in the over-17 freestyle mixed team event, the U50 standard mixed doubles event, and the U50 standard pair event.
The World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2024 took place in Hong Kong, China, from November 30th to December 4th, drawing 1,727 athletes from 77 countries and territories worldwide, including 40 athletes from Vietnam.
