Vietnam records 13,321 more cases of COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health said that from 5 p.m. on Thursday to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Vietnam recorded 13,321 new infections, of which 15 were imported and 13,306 were domestic. Ho Chi Minh City remained the locality with the highest number of cases: 7,539.

In the past 24 hours, the number of infections recorded in the country increased by 907 cases. Ho Chi Minh City reported 1,990 more cases, Binh Duong reported 968 cases less, Dong Nai 57 cases less, Long An 91 cases less, and Tay Ninh 87 cases more.

On Friday, 12,751 patients recovered, but 254 others died.

As of Friday, Vietnam recorded 589,417 COVID-19 cases since the outset of the pandemic early last year.
