Vietnam records 840 new COVID-19 cases on Monday

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam logged an additional 840 new COVID-19 cases on Monday with no deaths reported, according to the Ministry of Health.

The same day, around 4,000  patients were declared free from coronavirus.

The new infections brought the country’s total caseload to more than 10.7 million since the pandemic broke out, ranking 12 out of 227 countries and territories in the world.

A total of more than 9.8 million cases have recovered. Some 43,000 COVID-19 patients have died, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

More than 239 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the country so far.
