Vietnam records 87 more COVID-19 cases, Hanoi suspends religious activities

(VOVWORLD) - From 6pm on Friday to 6am on Saturday, Vietnam reported 87 more domestic cases in Bac Giang (57 cases), Bac Ninh (27 cases), Bac Lieu (1 case), Gia Lai (1 case) and Hanoi’s Tan Trieu Cancer K Hospital (1 case), according to the Ministry of Health.

As of 6am on Saturday, Vietnam reported a total of 6,657 cases of COVID-19, of which 5,164 cases were locally transmitted and 1,493 are imported cases. The number of new cases from April 27 to now is 3,594. 47 people have died.

Hanoi has suspended the organization of concentrated religious and belief activities at religious and belief establishments from 0h on Saturday.

The City People's Committee has requested religious organizations, dignitaries, and followers to practice their religious activities online.
