Vietnam records no new COVID-19 case Sunday morning

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded no new COVID-19 infection from 6 pm Saturday to 6 am Sunday, with its total confirmed cases standing at 2,368 with 35 deaths related to the disease so far, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control. 1,627 patients have been recovered.

Thirteen provinces and cities have confirmed new COVID-19 cases, including epicenter Hai Duong with 596 infections, followed by Quang Ninh with 60 cases, Ho Chi Minh city with 36 cases, and Hanoi with 35.

Medical checkpoints in Nhieu Dau group in Lam Thao ward, Luong Tai district, Bac Ninh province were dismissed on Saturday night after 22 days of quarantine. The move was made after all residents in the group were tested negative for the 2nd time for COVID-19. Checkpoints in Cai Bau bridge in Van Don district, Quang Ninh province were removed after 24 days of operation.
