Vietnam Red Cross Society offers relief to hailstorm-hit provinces
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNRC) Central Committee said on April 24 that it has decided to offer a relief package worth over 11,000 USD) in cash and kind to victims affected by recent hailstorms in the northern mountainous provinces of Dien Bien, Lao Cai and Lai Chau.
Cash will be given to households with injured people, collapsed or damaged houses, with a priority given to the poor, the disabled, the elderly and those with children aged below 5. Meanwhile, boxes of household goods and home repair tools will be handed over to families with collapsed houses.
