Vietnam remains free of local transmission of COVID-19 for 19 consecutive days

(VOVWORLD) - With no new COVID-19 cases recorded on Monday, Vietnam has gone 19 straight days with no community transmission.

The tally stands at 1068, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Of the total infections, 947 have fully recovered and 126 are undergoing treatment at medical facilities nationwide. There have been 35 fatalities in Vietnam.

Nearly 25,000 people who have had close contact with a COVID-19 patient or arrived recently from a pandemic-hit area are currently under quarantine.
