Vietnam reports 5 more imported cases of COVID-19, 401 in total

(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Health confirmed on Wednesday that another five people returning from coronavirus hit US and Russia have been diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the country’s tally of COVID-19 infections to 401.

All the five newly detected cases are Vietnamese who are among Vietnamese citizens repatriated from the United States and Russia due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of the total of 401 coronavirus cases, 365 patients have fully recovered from the disease, making up 91%. The remaining 36 cases are receiving treatment at different medical centers across the country. They are all in stable health condition. Vietnam has gone through 97 days in a row without new locally transmitted infections. 

In the world as of July 22, the total number of COVID-19 cases was over 15 million, more than 618 thousand died, according to Worldometers.
