The tally stands at 1,077 infections after 3 imported cases were added the same day.

999 patients have recovered and fatalities remain at 35. Most of the fatalities were elderly individuals with serious underlying health conditions.

Some 17,000 people who have had close contact with a confirmed case or arrived from a pandemic hot spot are currently under quarantine.

As the COVID-19 pandemic could flare up at any time, the Ministry of Health recommends that people wear face masks in crowded places and wash their hands regularly with soap or hand sanitizer.
