Vietnam reports no new COVID-19 cases for second morning in a row

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported no new COVID-19 infections on Monday morning. It has recorded just one in the past 24 hours.

After reporting several cases a day for almost a month, Monday marked the second morning in a row without new cases.

On Sunday evening, a 20-year-old Vietnamese student returning from the UK brought Vietnam’s total to 241, of whom 91 have fully recovered.

Of the 150 active cases who are being treated in 21 medical facilities nationwide, 52 have tested negative once and 23 have tested negative twice.

Vietnam began a 15-day nationwide social distancing campaign on April 1, which bans gatherings of more than two people in public places and asks people not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.
