At a regular press conference on Thursday,  in response to reporters’ questions about Vietnam’s reaction to Taiwan (China)’s live fire drills off the Ba Binh island of Vietnam’s Truong Sa archipelago, Hang said Taiwan (China)’s move is a serious violation of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the island, threatening peace, stability, safety, and maritime security, and causing tension and complicating the situation in the East Sea.

Vietnam resolutely opposes and requests Taiwan to cease these illegal activities and not to repeat similar violation in the future.
