Vietnam rescue team brings ashore sick Singaporean sailor

(VOVworld) – A team from the Marine Search and Rescue Centre Region II in Da Nang city brought ashore a foreign sailor to receive medical treatment early Sunday.

In Saturday afternoon, Lew-Sze-Kai, a 39-year-old Singaporean crewman working on the SAM YOUNG ship en route to Singapore from the Republic of Korea, suffered heavy skin infections. After receiving a signal, the Vietnamese SAR 274 ship, with doctors on board, left the local sea port for its rescue mission. The patient received first aid and was brought to Da Nang for proper treatment.
